Hi
just wondered if anyone can give me some advise please,
my ex partner was paying maintenance for our daughter through the csa but it was a bit hit and miss due to sickness from his work, especially earlier last year ,and as I am on housing benefit I couldnt keep doing change of cicumstances so as my daughter was going to uni I asked her to see if I stopped the claim if he would help her out instead (this had been suggested few months previous by my ex) He jumped at the chance even though there was only a few months left for him to pay.So I rang csa and told them the situation, he apparently owed me a small amount in arears at that point, anyway the maintenance stopped but my daughter got nothing from him and still hasnt, I havent had any arrears or any communication from the csa (not sure if they wrote to him as we dont speak) but Im royally peed off now as I feel I shouldnt have let him off so to speak and am kicking myself because i trusted him .
Anyway basically Im wondering if there is anything I can do about it as my daughter could really benefit from the few months money I thought he would have given to her. Can I go back to the CSA or will the case be closed as of course she is 19 and child benefit stopped end of last August
Thanks in advance :cheesy:

Was the case ever closed ?
Phone them to find out0 -
Was the case ever closed ?
Phone them to find out
And follow up your phone call with a letter..in fact my advice would be to put everything in writing and never ever phone the csa.
Send recorded delivery
Check recorded delivery slip on the Post Office website to ensure it has been delivered
Keep copies of everything ( and I mean every piece of communication between you and them)
Build a paper file..eventually you may need it.

No, by not paying he has not fulfilled his side of the bargain - child is his too and so he should maintain child as well as the mother.0
