Soap Powder and loo roll

After 2 weeks off, it's time for me to get back into routine.

I have not done my weekly shop since 23rd December.

The two things I need the most are the above.

I usually go for the somerfield offer of andrex 2x 9 pack for £6. Has anyone seen this offer or one similar?

I am also looking for Daz/Fairy soap powder. My local sainsbury's was doing the Daz 80 washes for £8 and had been for weeks but as luck would have it, I go in and there is none!

I thought I would give that supermarket comparison website thingy ago but I found it rather nippy....... nearly up there with Go Compare adverts!:rotfl:

Thanks

Following a recommendation of this site I use Nicky loo roll from Farm Foods at £1 for 4 rolls or £2 for 9 rolls of 3 ply. I find it better than Andrex/Velvet etc. Some other places sell a 2 ply version but this isn't very good. Farm Foods also do Nicky kitchen towel which is £1 for 2 rolls and is excellent too,

Remember the cheaper the loo roll the more you are likely to use which in turn mean you end up spending more and have a sore bum .

I must try this Nicky Loo roll if it's that good a value!

I don't think you'll be disappointed in the quality.

We use Beedeedee's tip from the Sneaky Ways to save the pennies thread on the Old Style Board and squeeze the loo roll into an oval shape. It doesn't rollout so easily and kids don't use so much.

  • Got some of the Nicky toilet roll for Farmfoods, no problem with the quality but we do seem to be using it a lot quicker than normally so not too sure.
