guinea/rabbit cages

just got given 2 guinea pigs, complete with cage, but i want to get them a nice hutch and run. they cost a bomb! even on ebay a decent hutch is around 60 quid, and i was hoping only to spend 30 max...does anyone know any high street chains who are selling them cheap? also any tips on looking after them, i know the basics ie which food, how much, exercise, cleaning etc, but i notice one pig is quite fat and his back legs dont seem to be too good, i dont know their history or how old they are so he could just be an oap as he doesnt eat much at all. (doesnt look or seem ill but the other one zips around where as he just sits in his little hidey thing) also any tips for making a makeshift run indoors? any advice appreciated (im going to look on google in the meantime)

this one was in the tchibo mailout a couple of weeks ago - doesn't look too big though, depends on how big your piggies are going to get. mine stayed small but some grow to be quite big

when i was a kid we had guinea pigs and my dad and grandad made a big run to go outside - just cheap wood and chicken wire and time!
we also let them run around indoors - but i guess you have to be sure that they won't use the floor as a toilet (ours used to nibble at clothes to signal that they wanted to go back to the cage to use the loo).
and also - try feeding them grapes - they love them, and it's quite sweet watching them try to chew and suck the juice at the same time!:happyhear0 -
