If the video compatability linits you go for an archos av500 - I hav one and it was wicked

Only 3 hours video battery life (archos is 9)

according to your link above one reviewer stated that after 5 hours of video and music it still had a good charge, so maybe its all down to what you watch.
I had already bought one of these this morning after seeing the price and ringing play to find out if VAT was due once it was sent from Jersey, there is no VAT and was told it will be sent from the the UK.

My (very belated) thanks to OP for this post! It's a great little machine and even impressed number one son - who's in the business!

Was in Dixons today (yes, some do still exist!) and they still have it at £250!!!
