OS Meet Saturday 23rd January, 2010

Would anybody be interested in having a get together on that date in London?
We're going to be there for 4 days (arriving early evening Thursday). I should be recovered sufficiently by Saturday.
Last time we had a meet was at a Weatherspoom Pub called The Lord Moon of the Mall in Whitehall. That worked in well (& I know how to get there without getting lost
) and it's close to public transport.
I'm pretty easy whether it's for lunch or tea. I only have sight seeing to contend with so can plan around it. I expect the majority will rule there so put down your preferences. Bargain Rzl organised the last meet I attended & I'm not sure if you have to book (numbers) so someone local might have to do that if that's the case.
Any takers?

Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.

Hi Aussie!
Would love to meet you at last! I'm going to ask oh when he gets in from work! We went to one in London before and met Snowy, Shez and Bgn Rzl, great fun and far too much red wine!:rotfl:So long as our transport system keeps going as this siberian blast looks like it's staying around for quite a while! brrr! Bring your thermals!:snow_grin
Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

I would love to, depends a bit on our house move, and if we are settled in etc, I would have to come on the train, so personally lunchtime would be better for me, but would be happy to fit in with everyone xx0

I'm fairly confident the big chill will be over by the time we get there. I expect major flooding will be next.
Red wine sounds good Catz.
Ruby - I'm sure if you stay up every night until midnight unpacking you should be able to do it.Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
I would have loved to put some faces to your names but unfortunately being in the midlands it just isn't practical for me, the thought of finding someone willing to watch 4 kids, 4 cats and two loopy rabbits for a day is somewhat amusing though :rotfl:, hope you all have a lovely time xxI will save my tesco £1 savings stamps this year! .......so far = £50 (full card#1)
Card #2 £6. I will not be skint at Chistmas this year!
Total £560 -
Sound good to me, depending of course if I can dig my way out of the snow of North Kent and Southeastern Trains are running. I live about an hour from London on the train, so it wouldn't be too much of a problem .

I really want to come, but it's only a couple of days before we go to NZ so should really rest as much as poss to leave energy for the journey. I'll have to play it by ear, I think x0

I'll be there :j:j:j:D:D Not overly fussed whether it's lunch or tea, but I can see for anyone travelling from outside London lunch would probably be better. You never get a second chance to make a first impression.0

Don't think you'd use any energy on the flight to NZ Ivy unless your a member of the Mile High Club.
