Badged as a SCOTT but identical to the NEXTBASE...
http://www.the-gadgeteer.com/nextbase-tablet-dvd-review.html
With the car kit, battery, dual headphones, carry case etc
Available on the net for between £200 and £300 or from your local Sunwin House (these may be Yorkshire only CO-OP homeware stores) at £124.99.
Brighouse have two left but ring round your local stores the model number is Scott DPX 12, offer ends when current stock is sold. Salesman said they are clearing some hi-tec stock at cost price. Hitachi and Sony plasmas/tft's are just about to be sold at cost.
By the way the DVD plays everything except DVD-R/RW, it does plays +R/RW and region 1 out of the box.
Hapy hunting.

Went and got one yesterday same as rugrat400 ;D ;D
Phoned ahead on Tueday and they reserved for me with no obligation to purchase for Wednesday pick up. Was originally priced at £249.99 and don't think that was with car kit so all in all a damn good deal. 8) 8)
Allowed me to try different discs in shop before buying to make sure handled them all. Very impressed with staff helpfullness at Brighouse. 8) 8)
Extremely well impressed with it and the kit supplied is perfect nothing else to buy, multi region, MP3, VCD etc. play great. Must say it is one of the best carry/car cases I have ever seen. :D
By the way was it you rugrat that went in to Brighouse and tried DVD R/W discs as staff told me someone had.
I have not tried RW discs as I do not use them but will eventually try one for the sake of it though not important to me.I am not always right,
But I am never wrong !!0 -
Can Anyone help me?
I am wanting to buy one of these.
Thanks0 -
I've been thinking of getting something like this to use as a portable digital photograph (JPEG) viewer. Has anybody tried this? If so, what's the image quality like?
Thanks

If you want to ring and reserve one from any of the stores then I can collect and post on as long as you cover the cost of the postage and fuel etc. I live Wakefield area so involves a trip. I can accept Paypal payments if that makes it easier but again I get charged fees so ask for them to be covered as well. I do not want to make money out ot this only recover my outlay and help others save money. :)
Phone numbers for Sunwin stores can be found on Yell.com

This also applys to anyone else who wants one and can of course locate one. They are well worth the money.
PS this site saves me money but at the same time I seem to spend all my savings on bargains. :P :-/

Have just tried this with jpeg.
From a CD of Holiday snaps the quality is OK for a unit of this size.
Its good for a slide show of photos as you can pick what you want to see from a menu.
Its Ok just for a quick view of things, the remote is good for this type of show.0 -

OK, that's useful to know, many thanks for taking a look at that.
