After discharge Credit cards mortgages etc

I have been discharged now since may last year and have completed my credit file clean up barring on Tricky customer GE home lending who still claim i owe them 56k for the shortfall of the mortgage.I have also updated my CCJ's they now show satisfied (a right messing about that was) Having done this i have monitored my credit file and score my score is now at 667 which is still in the poor section but not the 468 it was in april i thought i would share this info with you to show thats its not difficult to improve your score. I was delclared bankrupt in Nov 08 and discharged in May 09 i didnt do a score when declared as there was no point but below are the scores since just before discharge
April 09 468
June 09 509
July 09 473
September 614
October 634
January 10 667
I have also recently applied and got successfully a Vanquish Visa Card not quite sure how as i thought it was a long shot the credit limit is £250 but to be honest i just put my petrol on it every month and pay it in full just got it to help build my credit back up.
It seems to me that the credit market is becoming more easy going again and bearing this in mind would like to hear if anyone has had any luck with mortgage applications recently. I also would like some advice on mobile phone contracts i see o2 do a month by month thing which would suit me down to the ground seen as its costing me a fortune on pay and go with a and iphone but i dont want to apply and be turned down and affect my credit rating has anyone been successful with this type of a contract

Many thanks

Good to hear from you dickoa. I'm looking to remortgage in the near future and will see my mortgage broker for advice, but haven't yet done so. I don't have any advice re the mobile phone - I kept my pre BR contract and have managed to upgrade and get new phone since then.

I don't know how true this is but I was always told that applying and getting declined doesn't affect your credit score because it doesn't show the decision ie. you could have passed and turned it down for some reason.

It would however affect it if there was a lot of applications in a short period of time.
Lead me not into temptation, I can find the way myself.
