Redfox these are 2 different types of hard drives, people may not look in the topic because they think its IDE.

I respect the forum rules and won't post any links (I thought it was a signature only thing), but if anyone wants to know what i was talking about, search amygdala clicking in your search engine.

    I would advise against dabs.com

I am currently in dispute with them as they lost my goods then lost my refund and have wiped their hands clean of it telling me that it is not their problem. Their customer service is diabolical and they do not have a telephone line to contact them

    AVOID DABS.COM LIKE THE PLAGUE

have nothing but good stuff to say about DABS, use them in work, and at home when they're competitive
    money saving my @rse.
I've spent 10x as much as I would if I had never discovered this website :-)

Dabs are are now owned by BT, so one would have thought their customer service would have also improved - I've always have had excellent service from BT Shop myself. G

True re BT but when I called BT Retail directly they didnt even know that they owned them. The fact that they refuse to give a phone number, are ruse in their emails, and only reply promptly when watchdog or trading standards are copied in says something to me about their customer service. I thought that they would be a reputable dealer, and its true that their prices are good, but i have had no ends of problems when things have gone wrong - they have now had either my mp3 player (which was broken - it didnt hold a charge for more than 10secs) or my money (which they sent to an account that doesnt exist anymore) since March which in my books is verging on theft and yet they appear to still eb doing nothing about it. I am seriously tempted to go to the police and get them involved now.

10 foot barge poles spring to mind when I think of DABS regardless of who now owns them.

Dabs used to be great - but I haven't used them for a few years since it took them 6 weeks to refund payment on a faulty mp3 jukebox. It does NOT take 6 weeks to find out that an item does not turn on when you press the on button!

I've used Dabs once and once only.
Ordered a monitor and paid extra for "rapid" delivery.
After 5 days and no monitor and no replies to emails I phoned them. (Can't remember where I got the number from)
    Their response was:
    "Our conveyor belt is broken"
    "When will it be fixed?"
    "Dunno"
"Can't you just carry the boxes to the van?"
    "No"
"Can I cancel the order then?"
    "No"

    I could go on......

I'm sure all retailers have their horror stories. I've personally not used dabs since the removed all phone contact.
