Hi, +rw and -rw are just different methods of writing to a disk. Like the time of betamax vs VHS. There are debates about which is the best standard, some feel that -rw are better for compatability with older DVD players, however I have mostly used +rw and have had no compatability problems. Most DVD writers are dual format i.e. they support both + and -format, so as long as yours supports +rw you can buy these disks. It normally tells you on the front of your dvd drive if it supports it. If not look up your drive on the manufacturers website and it will tell you which formats it supports. Hope this helps.

Edit: Found some different disks in a store walking distance from me - would need a new DVD writer but I think it would be worth it.

Verbatim DVD+R DL 5pk 2.4X £1.97 (usually pay that for just one)

You just go to the store and give them your order number, so she should be fine. They might have your details aswell so she can just confirm them. You can also give the store a ring and tell them too.
