What are a groom's responsibilities?

Hi guys
I'm Maid of Honour and one of my next tasks is to help my friend draw up a list of things the groom's responsible for.
I've seen the traditional listswhich are very brief (propose, buy ring, choose suit - turn up), but wondered if those with 'tried & tested' knowledge had any tips/ ideas to add to the list.
Thanks:)

As much as you want him to have, or as little as you'll let him have!
I've left mine in charge of booking the DJ and that took months. Don't think he'll be getting another job...0 -
someone has to sample the food & beer at the reception venue
only joking....ive been set quite a list by w2b cos im still on hols for a few days
book registry office/book reception/organise photographer/wedding cake/sort out kilt outfits
but at least it keeps me out the pub!0 -
does the groom greet people at the church or is that the bestmans job?sorry0

Surely you just sort everything out between the two of you? Who cares which things are traditionally the bride's or groom's responsibilities? Don't get hung up about it, just have the wedding day you both want, and let whichever of you is best suited to a task take it on, or do things together!0

i kinda thought il be there to greet most of the guests with the best man before bride arrives, i dont think its a huge issue though0

I agree, do what works for you as a couple as well as what fits what you want your wedding to feel like. I personally have never been to a wedding in which the groom greeted guest, however if he wants to why not?0 -
I think marrying the woman at the front of the church is as much as they could cope with!!
Joke!!!!!!!!!0 -
no offence and please no-one take this the wrong way.... BUT
I think it's something for the bride and groom to discuss together... I know my fiancee would hit the roof if someone told him what he was or wasn't to do.
In fact my fiancee keeps asking me if there's anything he can help with0 -
In my H2B case, it's try suit on, sort out a speech (which he'll prob do off top of his head at the time) and turn up. And that's verging on more than he can cope with. LOL!0
