Mortgage Arrears

I am 3 months in arrears with my mortgage. I missed March 09 July 09, August 09 . I am paying the monthly repayments since sept 09. I am self-employed and had been in plaster for 4 months, so the missed payments were an accumulation of lack of sales over the months I was in plaster. I am playing catch up. And while my mortgage company are willing to talk to me. They were not making any suggestions, but wanted me to make a proposal. I know there maybe some options available to me. I have a fixed mortgage so a payment holiday is not available.
Any suggestions? I had thought of offering extra payments of £150 from March as I have the possibility of extra work, but it is not a dead cert!
