Payday Express. Help!!

Hi All
I needed to take a payday loan after christmas ( i know its crazy, but ive got some overtime coming at the end of the month that will cover it). Anyway, I applied and was accepted by payday express. I signed the electronic credit agreement and got an email telling me someone would call me to discuss the transfer of funds. That was on the 27th of December and i've heard nothing since. Ive tried emailing and calling but nothing works. Has anyone had a similar experience, or does anyone know whats happened to the company?
Thanks

  • Not really going to help much I'm afraid, but I sent three emails to them in the last week or so, and have also tried their telephone number on numerous occasions, no answer to any emails and no answer on the phone either. But they did take payment from my account for my previous loan on 24th Dec.

This number is for their collections team but they might be able to transfer you

    0208 461 6705

Please, please, please clear it as soon you can assuming you speak to them and arrange payment.

You can tell from my signature how easy it is to get in a mess with payday loans :(

If you have no joy with them and have a cheque book and card, try somewhere like the money shop as you only pay £15 for every £100 you borrow so it's much cheaper than an online payday loan company

I too applied again, yes ok stupidly but I really had no other option, payday express took my final payment for a previous loan on the 29th Dec, applied again, signed the form on line also on the 29th Dec as my previous loan had been paid back, yet nothing, no calls, nothing, cannot contact them, its like they dont exist, anyway went to payday uk instead and got my money, I just hope payday express just dont put the loan requested earlier in my account as I dont want it, however have no way to cancel it????

Although I agree it is stupid and I said "never again" I applied for one recently, they said by email they would ring, then they texted asking me to ring them, I tried like 6 times in morning and on lunch break no answer or answer and hang up, emailed advising them I had tried this and could they ring me, gave them times etc, heard nothing!!! Now getting post and emails from them as a previous customer telling me I have credit available!!! Am still desperate for cash but dont' know if I can be bothered going through it all again. Surely all I can do if I can't ring is email them and I have tried this? Glad to hear it is not just me. Sometimes I think it is for the best and I will be grateful when I have been paid, but it is a long week till pay day :(

PS I agree that Moneyshop really is the best option out of all of these in my VAST experience. It is cheapest, simplest, you get cash in hand, they always ring to remind you it is coming out and extension is £15, they are the nicest people I have dealt with. My cheques are £100 max each so it means if I borrowed lots it was all different loans and due dates rather than one big lump sum. I had up to £750 at one point and was able to pay off gradual. However
:( I now owe them £100 which I never manage to pay out of wages so ring them and pay £15 to extend every month, have probably paid nearly £100 gradually to extend. I have moved cities in the meantime and the branch here says they can't lend to me until the £100 at other store is paid off :( I think I will try to pay it off this month though and try not to borrow from them again. But would recommend them if you do need to use one of these people. And going to a glorified pawn shop with your cheque book to get some cash really brings it home to you more than these online things of what position you are in - in fact when I went to the branch here desperate for cash and they said no cos I owe £100 at another branch I left VOWING never again.

hi everyone new to forums i have been made unemployed and owe payday express money i offered them £5 per week and asked them to stop taking money from my account i have it all in my emails they took £135 out of my card today leaving me nothing to live on it was my fortnights money i stopped my card today can they still take money with no standing order or no direct debit does anyone know
  • yes, unfortunately yes. You would have signed an agreement and gave your card details that £xx would come out on xx date. Even by stopping your card the money will still come out. Once they have the money you will not get it back unless you can prove they agreed to the £5 week.
