hi folks ,
had some exciting news from northern rock ,were officially in the bad bank woohoo (love it as we didnt take 100% mortgage and never missed a payment ) my problem is i contacted NR and had been speaking to them about renting out my property for 1yr as going to dublin to work .theyve now decided that they will not agree to this and my fixed term is up soon ,which obviously they wont now offer a new deal! im a student(as th name gives away) means the options for a mortgage are small .My hope was to stay on in dublin and rent the property out permanently ,cant afford to sell just now and wouldnt want to as we would rather wait until the market picks up.
totally disgusted at NR basically they made a big mess ,now many of us who have never missed a payment are now bein thrown to the wolves
Have no idea what to do i cant afford to pay mortgage and rent in dublin ,but also jobs like the one ive been offered are few and far between here in scotland ????????????anyadvice ????????????
feel like postin them the keys and disappearing (only kiddin )

Not sure what NR are doing wrong to make you think that way.
Many lenders will not allow you to use a residential primary residence mortgage for commercial use. Some do but its the choice of the lender.
It is not NR's fault that you are not able to get a mortgage elsewhere.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -
my anger at NR really comes from the fact that over the last few weeks ,have been telling me it will be no problem to get consent to let ,all the time knowing that they were putting me into this 'other' bank that wont allow this.WHO SAID BEING A STUDENT WAS EASY ?0
