lost/stolen engagement ring

Morning,

On xmas eve, my ring was stolen and I feel so odd without it. The man it was originally bought from appears to be out of the UK and not sure when/if he will be back. I am thinking of going to hatton garden to look for a new one, but I have seen some in diamond-heaven.co.uk who are based in Birmingham that I quite like the look of and at a very good price but as I am based in london this is a trek. Has anyone bought from them and how was the quality and service?

Once the weather gets a bit better we will drive down there to view the rings I like, but dont want to go there before getting some feedback if possible.

thanks

HB

Have you spoken to your insurance comany? They will be better placed to replace it directly themselves with an equivalent value ring. Do you have any idea where it was mislaid? Did you report it to the Police? (for a crime number to enable a claim to be made)

My insurance policy changed in November where I had to "add" personal belongings, I kept saying I would get round to it and then 6 weeks later this happens, sods law really.

I took the ring off at the nail shop to rub in the cream and left it on the table behind me, but as the greedy shop owner was hovering waiting for her £25 and it was xmas eve and was still going to still go to the supermarket so was a bit hurried i left the shop without picking it up, i went back 20mins later when I realised I hadnt picked it up and by the time I got there it was gone, the girl who was sat next to me was the only one who had left the shop after me and nobody else had been sitting in our spot or even been near it after I left according to the other customers so I can only presume the cow picked it up.

LOL at steph, yes I too hope they choked on their turkey!

I did see quite a nice one in harrods down from 3k to £1200 with very nice clean diamonds which I thought was a good price, but it was white gold, and im not keen on it as I have seen a few start to turn colour

Would the salon not have her details as a client of theirs? I would be inclined to contact the police and inform the salon of your intentions. If she was the only person in the salon along with the staff it would have to be one of them?
