Those button bouquets are so cool!!!:T
They would certainly be a talking point, I would definitely make one rather than buy one though, they can't be that difficult.Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. They're gorgeous, I can't have flowers as I'll be sneezing the whole time but all I could find are silk flowers and I don't think I want those. I think mine will be a mixture of martha stewarts silk flowers and the buttons
Have you tried foam flowers?
I had foam roses and they look so realistic - you can even spray them with perfume and they smell lovely for the day.Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. For 1 x deluxe bouquet, 3 x siren bouquets, 3 x buttonholes and 1 x toss bouquet (so you still have something to throw!) it came to a total of $300, and we are told it will cost approximately $40 to post once complete.. so in total, just over £200.
I thought it was worth spending the money on these bouquets because after all, you get to keep them forever
When I first saw the bouquets I thought I would have a go at making them myself, however, it took me so long to make just one, and I thought I would rather have someone make them that would put a lot more time and effort in to them.. I wanted them to be perfect for the day.
Here's some pictures of my attempt...

Wow, well done (and thanks for posting those pics)...that's a lot of buttons!!
I envisioned wire lengths and just buttons on the ends. They must have cost a lot, or did you collect for a long time?Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. Does she do comissions and mates rates (for MSE girlies)
:D :rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:0 -
Thanks all

They're surprisingly heavy, so i wouldn't recommend throwing them
I think the toss bouquet is going to be made of felt, hopefully, although im not the one catching!
lol
We bought alot of the buttons very cheaply from Ebay, carboots and charity shops and also a little bit of collecting. I think in total we spent about £50, but we have enough to make at least 3 other bouquets (same size as the gold one above)
We've also ordered some matching Button necklaces from a shop in Lincoln for the bridesmaids. I did attempt to make these too, but failed miserably!

I'd not thought of foam ones, I keep trying to google alternate bouquets but not a lot comes up. My mum has refused to comment on me having a sugar flower bouquet and OH has just said out and out no to a basket of puppies :rolleyes:0
