Rather a very keen interest in all things Home Front. Don't want to do it just interested in how they managed.
Me too Ches my DH has bought me lots of books about make do and mend and ration book cooking. I have about 10 now and love to curl up and read them they are really interesting and makes you wonder how people today would cope.

There was also a link on uktv.co.uk but it is not loading so it might be broken.

Yesterday are also showing The Wartime Kitchen and Garden. I think it's on the same days. I happened to notice they were both on when hubby was scrolling through the tv guide so I got him to set the tv to record the series.

Oh, I'd love to see that again. We don't have Sky but have a Freesat box, is there any way I can get it? Really wish it was available on dvd like the Victorian Kitchen and Garden.

I have this series on DVD and often watch it. I was born and bought up in the country and I can remember the old farm machinery and people working in the fields. Don't see that very often these days.

Thanks for that. My OH is taking me to the Imperial War Museum as my birthday treat at the end of February.

I've googled high and low for it on dvd. can't even get second hand copies.

I'm not sure we get a channel 12 Smiley Mum. All our channels are 3 digits. Will have a look later though, thanks.
