saving/making money-not a scam or spam

at the moment on money saving oldstyle there is a thread call flylady challenge which i did not start but is definately worth doing. will probaly save you money. you basically clear out clutter and keep house clean and tidy-i've found i've already saved quick a bit of money because many of the things i needed to buy were already in the house. very few people (if any) are able to recall everything in their home and it is likely you also may already have the things you need to. i have posted this link on this forum because people may only focus on certain forums or may not have the time to read all the postings.

  • Flylady's website is well worth a look if you want to clean up and declutter. Lots of motivational and useful stuff. URL is

Her advice of 'baby steps' can also apply obviously to debt management.

I'm in! Actually I already started this, not because of this site but because I am selling the house so need to seriously clean and de-clutter!

I did my kitchen yesterday (inspired by a bottle of stardrops, just wanted to see if it was all it's cracked up to be) and I cleared out the most amount of junk for ebay. I also found I had a ton of cleaning stuff, enough to last me for months.

Tomorrow is the dining room, was supposed to be today but clients kept calling, meaning I had to spend the whole day doing quotes (damned inconsiderate of them!). Thanks for posting Homer and for giving me some inspiration to keep going... will it see me through the 9 rooms I have to decorate?? Let's hope so LOL

everyone on flylady challenge is saying the same thing- with me it's cards, wrapping paper and toiletries - the cards and wrapping paper i lost (and replaced) have now turned up and will keep me fully stocked for months.

keep at it- it does get easier even though i've still got tonnes to do myself.
  • I tried FlyLady once and actually found her quite scary (I used to be a School Dinner Lady, and so I don't scare easily :) )

Still, if her (very) frequent e-mails can boost my bank balance as well as enable my dazzling sink to blind any debt collectors that chance a casual call, then I might give her another go :)
Eek! Someone's stolen my signature!

ive not tried flylady but a few weeks ago i got so fed up with everywhere being crammed with stuff(muust have been nesting really), since clearing out i made 140 ish at boot fair another 30 is currantly selling on ebay, ive given a box left from the bootsale on freecycle and a huge bag of clothes that i doubt i will ever get into again to my tiny next door neighbour, i never imagined my house could be so clutter free but it is and im sure once i get harsher with myself i can get rid of even more
