In Tesco's Value range I have found a pack of 2 Microfibre cloths for 88p, does anyone know if they are any good, cos there was another brand next to it and that cost £3.95 for one cloth. Does the brand really make that much of a difference?

I have the tesco ones - in plain white? They are just as good as my other set (though those were only 2 for £1.50!)
I like to have different colours for different types of cleaning, eg dusting, washing up. The tesco white ones are fine for washing up because they can be bleached between uses.0 -
Yes the own brand one's are fine. Just make sure they are microfibre cloths. It will say on the pack. As I'm sure you are aware, there are a bewildering range of cleaning cloths out there.
A microfibre cloth is a microfibre cloth and this it really.0 -
I've found them as good but they are smaller than my dearer ones. I got a pack of 3 blue ones in Savers for £1.50 and these are a bit better than the cheap Tesco ones IMO.:smileyhea0

annie-c, Can you bleach them?
Great if you can as some of mine are pretty grey even after being thru the washing machine. Haven't done it before as as I thought someone else posted that bleach destroys the fibres.0 -

I just put a little bit of bleach in a lot of cold water in the sink, and they still seem to be effective after being soaked in that. I don't use neat bleach. I haven't heard that they could be damaged - but am open to other ideas?0 -
I just googled and found a number of websites that say you should NEVER use fabric conditioner or bleach. They explain that the cloths treat fabric conditioner like dirt, they suck it up the fibres and so the cleaning ablity is diminished. They don't explain about bleach.
any ideas anyone?0 -
