I'm sure you'll get more advice from those in the know very soon - but for now my offerings would be to set herself a challenge to pick 5 items a week (first 5 she comes across) and to ebay those. Remind her that the important thing with Flylady is to take BABY STEPS. She didn't acumulate the clutter in a day, a week or even a month - so it's going to take a while to clear it.
NEVER pull out more than you can put away in an hour - and remember to be proud of ALL achievements.
I would also suggest getting hold of the flylady book http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/0971855110/026-7303407-4774004?v=glance&n=266239 from the library or similar - it's got good tips and motivation in there on dealing with this stuff.

Yes I agree, just get a few things out at once, I'm doing a similar thing myself. Best of luck.
  • I had/have a similar problem, I live in a studio flat so no "other room" to chuck stuff in!! Well apart from the bathroom, and I must say I did utilise the baths at times!! :D What I did was a bit at a time, finish that bit, put the bit away(!) and then start on another bit! ..................................................................................................I've got stacking boxes for all my eBay stuff that I just put in a corner out of the way. Gradually getting through and selling it all. And be brutal, if it doesn't sell after 2 listings on eBay then get rid of it another way- freecycle, charity shop, friends etc etc.................................................................. This has proved quite a valuable way of doing things for me, whereas previously I would have got EVERYTHING out and the flat would then be a bombsite for ages!!! :p Hope this helps!!
