When not IF you move out you must rent/buy a home big enough to have at least 2 bedrooms so your son can have his own bedroom ( access can be blocked otherwise !)
    Good LUck
  • Thanks for all the advice people, got an appointment with a solicitor booked for next week. Can't wait to see what the future will bring. P.S.: If I go to Spain to visit my parents will this count against me?

Wow, a lot of people are jumping in to judge this woman we know nothing about! We don't know what's happened in this relationship to make her want to leave, even if its just that she doesn't love her husband anymore should she stay and be miserable and raise their son in a home with unhappy parents?

To the OP, you say your wife earns very little, if you sold up and split the equity would she even be able to buy a place on her own or would you be sending your son into a rented home or council housing? Could they afford to stay in the area or near relatives such as grandparents etc. When you have a child you commit to always doing what's best for that child even if it disadvantages you personally.
