Can anyone recommend any wedding photographers in the Gloucester/Bristol/Cheltenham/Forest Of Dean area?

We have a budget of about £800 and require a full day (bride prep at a cottage on the same site as the venue until first dance). We also must have a CD/DVD of all the high resolution images.

Also - It is a Sunday wedding in October 2011!!

Any help greatly appreciated :-)

  • Hi - i am getting married this October (9th) and am going to be using this lady www.suelloyd-weddings.co.uk ... she charges VERY competitive rates and i have been to see her, she is a lovely lady and i had a look at some albumns she has done for previous weddings and they look great! Her website is a tad slow so be patient whilst waiting for the gallery to load. She and her husband both take the photographs so can be in "two places at once" kind of lol!! She lives in Pershore, Worcs so close to Gloucs but i am sure she would travel! She might not be what you are looking for, but if she is, and you decide to choose her, please mention
that you heard from me lol....she might give me a discount  LOL

If not, there are ALOT of photographers that charge a fair amount more in the Gloucs area - just google Gloucestershire wedding photographer! I know i found loads in that area but they were too pricey for me (ie £750+)
Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?
  • Just had a look on her website. Looks really good. Will definately give her a ring :-)

Thanks very much for the details
  • Cool! Well, like i said, mention that i told ya ;) My name is Laura and i am getting married 9th october 2010 ;);)

My sister is a third year photography student at university. She has done a wedding last year and the couple were very impressed with her work. She also has another booked for this year after the lady saw her first wedding album. I don't know what she charges but I think it would be less than the £800 you have budgeted. If you are interested please PM me and I can give you her details.I am sure she can show you some of her work. Please do not feel obliged, I will not be offended if you are not interested.

I used these people - they were fab. This guy comes to your house & spends time going through exactly what you want and how you want it, etc. I was really picky and worried, but very pleased with the results - http://www.colinmasonphotography.co.uk/ All the best for your wedding!!:T

Horrific prices and "add ons" in my opinion - £195 to take photos of bride getting ready (as an "extra") My lady charges an extra £30 for the same thing LOL .......With this bloke, aCD of the images as an extra = £245-£395!!!!

    Blimey!

No offence intended by the way - am just shocked at the extra prices!!!!

I wanted to guarantee my pics were going to be the best AND they are! Each to their own budget of course though :o
  • Hi engagementuser,

I'm getting married in Bristol, where is your wedding as the places you mentioned cover quite a radius.

I've booked Graham Coleman http://www.grahamcolemanphotography.net/, his prices aren't on his website however if you email him with what you want, he'll give you a price, and he's very quick at getting back to you. Me and OH went to his house to view all his photos etc, we had already agreed to go with him before we left his house, his pictures truly are beautiful. If you want to PM me, i'll tell you how much he's charging us and what we're getting for it. But if you speak to him i don't think you'll find a better price. Also mention i passed his details on, Vicki getting married on 28th August .

    Thanks
