Morning
Does anyone have any tips for cleaning granite cheaply? I've been using a special granite cleaner which is fab but expensive. I switched briefly to a cheaper brand but it smeared. We have a black hi-gloss finish and it looks awful if it smears.

I use washing up liquid on a j-cloth with hot water and then rub with a microfibre/e-cloth thing.
I have a speckly one though so it doesn't show that many streaks/marks0 -
Mmmmm thanks hun I wish we'd gone the natural colour too or the orange peel effect- it's a nightmare- think I will just have to resign myself to buying the proper cleaner for the rest of ever! x0

I have had black granite work tops for 6 months. I rarely use the special cleaner. Clean over the tops with a damp j cloth then polish with an E Cloth ( cheap version will do). Very sparkly and streak free -no chemicals needed0

e cloth and spray of water. Brilliant result0

Stardrops in a spray bottle and wipe off with a dry microfibre cloth. Change the cloth when it gets damp - drying it straightaway is what makes the difference. If I want an extra shine I use window cleaning spray but you don't need to. Round the sink it got water deposit stains which showed up quite badly on the shiny black but I used limescale remover, left it on for about an hour, and now it's like new againIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!0

I use Dettol 4in1 srpay cleaner (i like the pink grapefruit one). Just spray it on, wipe with a J cloth then dry with kitchen roll (I'm sure a micro fibre cloth would do the same!). Star drops etc probably just as good but I like the dettol spray as its antibacterial too.0
