And that post was helpful, how???

The OP wanted advice. If you read between the lines of my post I was advising against it.
Does the OP only want to hear answers that are for a Disney Wedding then?
The OP didn't seem to particularly bothered by my response, she answered it with short shrift and moved on......0 -

Err YES! This is for wedding advice, it may not be your idea of a 'nice' wedding, but it is clearly what the OP wants. Its a good job we don't all like the same things, otherwise life would be very boring

Sorry, I was just getting advice really, a Disney would be my idea of a great wedding with close family and friends. The Disney branding really has nothing to do with cost, it seems to be the word 'wedding' and all the prices shot up! : )

Don't apologise! You have every right to ask advice, thats what (most) of us are here for. If you want to get married at Disney then good for you, you will have lovely weather!:rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:0 -
My boss's sister had a Disney wedding in Asia and all I can say is...you have to LOVE Disney if you're going to surrender your wedding to them.
The bride had 4 costume changes, each dress more 'interesting' than the last - who knew lime green could be subtle!?
The groom had 2 costume changes - sequins...who knew men could wear them outside a drag show!
Sadly, although the couple enjoyed the wedding immensely, the guests were left non-plussed by the food, the wine and beer was cheap and warm and there was a too high 'staff to guest' ratio for it to be an intimate event.
Put it this way...my boss pulled out her sisters wedding pics to show me when I was upset about my first dress being a disaster (long story - not a 'China' dress either!); she showed me that no matter how awful things were for me at the moment...things could always be far worse! We were in hysterics when we were looking through the pics.
My advice, ask to visit during someone's wedding a Disney, ask them for referals from previous couples and ask how they found their experience with Disney and most importantly...
If a Disney wedding is what you want - don't let anyone else's opinion change your mind...just do it! ;o)

omg I would have LOVED that so much...might get a quick divorce just so I can marry again....how magical would a disney wedding be.....I'm so jealous!!!You may walk and you may run
You leave your footprints all around the sun
And every time the storm and the soul wars come
You just keep on walking0 -
I saw an article about a Disney Wedding in a wedding mag towards the end of last year I think, but for the life of me I cannot remember which one! Might be worth having a look in some of the wedding mag websites as the feature may still be there? The couple really enjoyed their day anyway, and were raving about it!0

I am a Disney nut too samv and would love to get married in Florida! Are you looking at the wedding pavillon or somewhere else? Personally I would LOVE to get married in the Polynesian resort, we went there for a meal in October and it was absolutely stunning, and it has it's own beach too for fantastic photos.
I don't know if I can post a link to the Disney forum I'm a member of but if you search disboards (com) it'll come up. It's fantastic for everything Disney and has a wedding section so you can get loads of info from there.
Just make sure you post some pics of the big day! lolBest Moneysaver...Starting my own Business!
