My pie tastes like tin! Any saving it?

I made this cottage pie for dinner:

I dutifully used both tinned toms and lentils, and sure enough it tastes just like tin! We had it for dinner so it was edible, but I'm having trouble facing the leftovers. Any ideas on something I could stir in to make it more appetizing? I'll boil my own lentils next time!

How about some quorn mince simmered in gravy of your choice and added to filling - might be a bit messy seperating the mash - but likely to improve taste.Mama read so much about the dangers of drinking alcohol and eating chocolate that she immediately gave up reading.0
