So impatient

I get paid friday and will have more than enough in the bank to clear off my egg card (1900 balance at the mo) but my interest free 6 months lasts until the end of july

However i know i probably should wait a few more weeks to get an extra £2 in interest but on the other hand im sick of this debt and my Debt amount sig will look so much better when i knock that 2k off

So do i:

Do the robotic thing and wait a few more weeks for the little amount of interest

Save myself lots more stress and give myself the boost of clearing a card

Im 50/50 at the mo, id love the interest but in reality i know id feel loads better just paying it off now

Get rid of it! Your sig will look better, your debt will come down, and you may end up paying that extra £2 out anyway, so I say, PAY IT OFF!

I've only ever been in debt once by about £6,000, which is nowhere near the distressing amounts I see on this forum, but at the time it was MY problem and I had to deal with it. I put every penny I could towards paying the debt and it was cleared in a couple of years.

I'd say that the sound thing to do is to pay off, pay off, pay off. Don't live with your debt any longer than strictly necessary, if only for the psychological "oomph" you get the day you are debt free and the master of your own finances. Then you can start on your savings, and these will build up quickly.
Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.

I reckon you should pay it off. One less debt to juggle, a psychological boost and a nice new debt signature.

Is this not the Debt Wannabe forum? the answers in the question, YES, Pay off your Card, then you've paid it a whole month earlier than your target in your signiture, then after that you may be able to reply your whole debt a month earlier too.

just out of interest which job pays you that well? if I had it I'd be debt free in 3-5 months!!
