Tel No for Crewe Accounts

Hi does anyone know a number for Crewe accounts dept? CB for was stopped in Sept and we were paying until Dec and are hopefully due this back, we have been told to wait up to 12 weeks but could really do with knowing if and when anything will come. The most helpful man we spoke to in 12 years advised he could not put us through.
Thanks in advance

They will have you running round in circles being passed from pillar to post.

Best to contact your MP. Ask the assistant to phone the Parliamentary hotline and they will also write a letter then a paper trial will be established.

The finance team do not take customer calls so the person who advised you they cannot put you through this is correct - they dont even take calls from agency staff - communication is by email

the process followed to have your money retuned will depend of where the payment is at the moment - if this is still held with the agency it can be refunded to you when the case is closed - by the manual payment team if needed - an account breakdown will be completed to calculate the total amount of overpayment at the case closure date.

if the money has paid out to the parent with care already the agency will have to attempt to recover this money from the pwc and arrange for this to be repaid to you or if the pwc refuses to make repayment the agency will make the payment to you themselves (this is called an exgratia payment) this can take a period of time due to the amount of audit checks which need to be carried out to ensure payments are not made in error as these are made totally manually.

your case officer should be able to advise you of the process that your particular case will be following but 12 weeks sounds about right to me without knowing the particulars of the case
