Wasn't trying to be harsh, just realistic as Saabs + their parts aren't the cheapest things about. I would have thought any decent mechanic could fix most things unless it's to do with the 'brain' and then you would need to approach a dealer to be put on a diagnostics machine.........

Its to do with the 'brain' as you call it - theres an electronic problem - hence me asking for anyone who knew of a Saab specialist who could look at it. Typically specialists will have the right diagnostic equipment, therefore avoiding the 'need' to approach a main dealer and the costs that will incur.

Hence why i'm asking for a specialist ;)

Just had this info passed to me, so i'm going to repeat it here, in case anyone subsequently reads this...

This guy is apparently the only independent Saab Specialist in Northern Ireland.

If anyone knows of others, feel free to post them!
  • Depending on which Saab mode it is it could practically be a vauxhall so there should be plenty of people about who could work on them.

I'm really sorry to see Saab going to the wall, they made some great cars over the years and were great rally cars. They seemed to lose the plot over the last couple of years with some seriously ugly cars, a great pity.
