Hi,
I got married last year and my hubby went bankrupt 6 months later. It's got me wondering about how your credit report reflects getting married. Does anyone know if your name, somehow, gets changed or do you start new? Also, how doe sit affect you have some debts still in your maiden name? You have to excuse me, I am totally pants with knowing things like this! Any help would be great

I'm pretty sure your report will still have your maiden name down on it aswell as any other names you have been know by but I'm not sure over what time period. I assume this applies to addresses aswell.
I imagine it won't have your married name until you apply for any new credit though!0 -
Your new name will show on the report as any present lenders / Banks will update your details and this process will also create an automatic link / alias between the two names. It’s hard enough remembering my opinions - without remembering my reasons for them :rolleyes:0
