Whats the best shift pattern? 7 day fortnight.

I am just about to embark on a 7 day fortnight which i will do on other days to one other person.

Overall we will each only work 7 days out of fourteen (only day shifts) but, between me and this other guy we can arrange what ever we want..

What would you say is the best shift pattern?

BUT due to the intensiveness of the shifts (being 12 hours long) we wont want to do more than 3 days in one sitting.

Any advice for us?

Wk 1 - On, off, off, on, on, on, off
Wk 2 - Off, on, on, off, off, off, on

Assuming week starts with Sunday, that way you each work one weekend on one off and never do more than 3 in a row

Thanks for your reply. Although I’ve thought that If I jiggle it about, I can get three day weekends too :-)
and combined with occasional bank holidays....

(or is that not a good idea?)
