how do i stop rasin sinking

hi i made a rasin cake but all the rasins have sunk to the bottom why is this thanks
i cant slow down i wont be waiting for you i cant stop now because im dancing

You could try dusting them in a little flour before you add them to the mix to keep them separate - apparently this works according to my nana“the princess jumped from the tower & she learned that she could fly all along. she never needed those wings.”

I agree with thrift - dust in flour. I was told it was because if they are a little bit damp, they sink and dusting them with flour dries them off. It is especially important to dust glace cherries before baking with them (I'm told - I don't use them myself)0

Another one here who was told by the home economics teachers (in about 3rd form) to dust all dried fruit with flour, then sieve it - I used to be amazed at the little black bits coming out with the flour.The IVF worked;DS born 2006.0

I wash and dry glace cherries and this stops them sinking but probably too time consuming to give each raisin a bath!0
