That would cost between £3,000 and £5,000:eek:

Hopefully you mean 124.8 units(cubic metres) or you have a big leak!!

I may have read the British Gas website thingy wrong:

I've been looking at the BG website but can't find my past history usage. Could you tell me how to get the results please..

  • British Gas homepage -> Login -> Overview screen, click 'view account' you want -> On right hand side 'I want to....' and click View My Consumption -> After a few seconds (think it has to load flash player or some other plugin so give it some time) a pretty graph pops up which you can hover over bars to see usage and you can toggle views between Graphs and Tables :)

  • ok ive consulted the manage your bills tool on the BG website:

4 bed end of terrace,3 adults, house unoccupied from 8am to 6pm for about 4 days a week, someone home most of day for 3 days a week, heating usually off between 8.30 and 5.30pm.

Thermostat set to 20 at the moment.

Heating timed to come on at 7.15, off at 8.30.

On again at 5.30pm, off at 7.30pm

On again at 8.30pm an off again at 10.30pm.

Been on constant though on most days recently when house is occupied, and left on 15 overnight on the coldest nights, dont want frozen pipes!

    Between 10/12/09 and 6/01/10

    GAS: £107.16 OR 112kwh per day 6.719p tier 1, 3.255 tier 2

    ELECTRICITY: £49.00 OR 35kwh per day 21.780 tier 1, 9.537 tier 2

BG online saver with energy smart

    CC limits £26000

    Long term CC debt £0

Total low rate loan debt £3000

    Almost debt free feeling, priceless.

Ex money nightmare, learnt from my mistakes and never going back there again, in control of my finances for the first time in my adult life and it feels amazing.

Something wrong with your arithmetic methinks.

    27 days @ 35kWh = 945kWh, even at tier 1 rates that is £90

35kWh a day electric in a gas CH house is huge.
