four people... £5 a day, very do-able!
I usually spend less than £2 on a four-serving meal (my meals may seem cheap sometimes, but are very tasty!)
e.g. some onions from Asda SP Onion bag
Asda SP sausages
Asda SP tinned Carrots
Asda SP tinned Kidney Beans
Asda SP tinned peas
Asda SP curry sauce jar
2x Asda SP instant mash
(can substitite with other value brands)
fry sausages, onion... till brown, add veg, sauce, simmer for 10mins, serve with mash (for the mash I use 2 level tbs milk powder in 1pint of water per pack. The value instant mash tastes 1000000% better than Smash (which I hate!)
May sound "wrong", but put them all together and it tastes so right (and to serve four - costs around £1.20ish).
of course, no need to always buy value either! While most value stuff is the same as branded (e.g. some tinned veg), some of the meat (e.g. mince) is high in fat, but alright if you drain it.
Also, look out for reduced foods to freeze. I bought some nice beef medalians from Aldi today, as well as 6 packs of salmon reduced from £2.99 to 99p. All in the freezer! From Asda the other day I picked up 3x asda special sausagemeat which i will mix with SP stuffing to make a meatloaf. yummy, scrummy, and cheap!
Good luck!0 -

What do you eat for lunch and breakfast that costs "that" much. Try to buy bread when it is reduced and freeze it
Also, buy in bulk when some offers are on. e.g. when Aldi did 100% free (2kg for price of 1kg) on their honey nut cornflakes, I bought 6 boxes. Saved me some money for stuff I would have bought normally.0 -

aldi have some of them listed on there website
£35 a week is do able depending on what you buy and how you use your ingredients x i made a cottage pie for around £2 yesterday that will give us 3 sets of meals, the small packet of lamb mince was brought on offer at asda for £1 added 2 large grated carrots, and onion and a small cup of lentils to eekk it out them potatoes from a 30p bag from morrisons
if you stick to the cheaper brands, use offers wisely and try to minimise waste you should find it very achievableDebt free
