Best Vinyl Silk Paint for my money.

I want to paint my flat this autumn. Nothing fancy, just magnolia as I'm still living with the new build emulsion that can't be washed. What's the best value paint around, that's still good quality?
I notice that Tesco do paint and thought this could be good? Any feedback much appreciated.
Thanks

I always use Dulux especially when on offer which is most of the time in the DIY stores. If you go for cheap brands it may be a false economy as you may need more coats. TIP: Use vinyl Matt instead of Silk as this gives a better finish and does not show up imperfections as much as the Silk does. Just as washable and looks better IMHO.Middlers0

I'm with Middlers as I only ever use Dulux too. Cheap brands tend to be nasty & runny, give poor coverage & need multiple coats.
I find my local diy/hardware store sells Dulux far cheaper than B&Q or any of the other big chains, so if you've a local independent store check them out.The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
I myself would avoid Dulux emulsion and go for Johnstone's or Leyland. Normally £2 or so cheaper for 5ltrs and much better IMO. If you want good coverage but not the shine then go for Johnstone's Soft Sheen, kinda between matt & silk.Bet match total as of 04/10 = God Knows + About £1000 Quidco. Time for Mrs Huddsta to have a crack!!!

I find Wickes' Master brand really good - covers as well as Dulux.0

Dulux for me - I've tried own brands with unsatisfactory results. If you have a Wilkinson near you they tend to be a few pound cheaper per tin than B&Q.0
