The Wholesale Company Thread

Looking for information about wholesale companies and any advice or experience people have had (good or bad) buying from wholesale to sell on?
Who are these companies?
A lot of research I have done into these companies they seem to ask for cash upfront before supplying you information, no way I am paying that.
Any advice people have would be great.
Thanks.

Hi,
Take a look at the turn £100 to £10,000 thread and contact / PM Bing0
Good Luck:beer:0 -
If you've a little money to invest, why not look at importing stuff from India, China or Pakistan?
Have a look at Alibaba.com. Loads of verified trade links, I've bought things from Hong Kong, China and Pakistan with no problems whatsoever.
Find something you think you could sell, whether it be something you know about, a hobby, or anything really.
DONT pay for any information, chances are it's a con.0 -

I am a little worried about fakes and with electrical goods there maybe faulty items etc.
I will give it ago and report back.

I hear what your saying but what I bought was 50 unbranded micro sd cards (no problems so far, half left) and then a product that I could re sell for a profit but hoping to build into a business.
I wouldnt buy brand names from a foreign country incase they were fake either and so far as electrical goods go, probably not.
I had a quick look at red wagons before xmas. Its an American something but you can get a similar product from China (that doesnt claim to be the same) for around $55 delivered to the UK. Add perhaps 6% import duty and 17.5% vat and your still only at £42.36. The American ones £150.
Just checked ebay, peoples selling the Chinese ones for £55 with £15 postage now.0 -

Do people realise the amount of fakes coming out of china and how you can be prosecuted for selling counterfeit goods in the UK ? They will always say ignorance is no excuse.0

You dont need to spend a penny to find decent wholesalers, its surprising how easy it can be. There are always trade fairs full of wholesalers in all sectors.
I used to go to the Spring and Autumn Fair, to source my suppliers.0
