Just found this article in the Grocer (online while searching for egg)
Cadbury has launched an extensive viral campaign to support this year’s Creme Egg season, which began this week.
The interactive game, made in partnership with MSN, will call on consumers to participate in daily hunts for codes across MSN websites. There is also a celebrity-themed game built into social networking site Facebook.

I looked at The Grocer article, then googled 'viral' to see what that's all about.

Wikipedia said the following:

"The buzzwords viral marketing and viral advertising refer to marketing techniques that use pre-existing social networks to produce increases in brand awareness "


"The assumption is that if such an advertisement reaches a "susceptible" user, that user will become "infected" (i.e., accept the idea) and will then go on to share the idea with others "infecting them," in the viral analogy's terms. "

Honestly! I bet some advertising guru got paid a flippin' fortune for this gobbledigook.

It's just a new name for a really old form of advertising -

WORD OF MOUTH.

Not exactly, viral marketing differs as they provide a game/video etc that becomes infectious hence the term 'viral'! Word of mouth relies solely on people spreading the message rather than providing a stimuli to assit this(like viral does) . Not that I'm picky lol!

I am getting fed up of this now but I do not want it to beat me!! Galaxy/Mars were so much more generous with their codes for books and balls!!

I also won a keyring but did not receive a email, do we know if you are suppose to get a confirmation email? I do remember adding my address when I registered so maybe it will just be sent out. After all the effort want to ensure I get that keyring!

I adore creme eggs, can't get enough of them - got two keeping cool in the fridge atm, don't think they'll last long though :EasterBun ! Would be happy with a spoon or even a keyring but no luck so far!

just had a look at t&c's. it says that winners will be immediately informed if and what they have won and the prize should be received within 28days. no mention of a confirmation email.
