The great BIG checklist!

Whilst reading through my recent copy of Perfect Wedding, February 2010 edition, I came across the good old wedding planner and The great BIG checklist. You know, those easy at-a-glance guide to planning the perfect wedding and the "months to go" checklist. Well, at 9 months to go it says, "choose and order your wedding dress." 6 months to go. "Have a dress fitting." 3 months to go. "Buy your wedding lingerie." I am going to assume the wedding lingerie is your undies you intend wearing with your gown and not what you are going to wear (or not) on your wedding night.
This being the case, as a professional dressmaker, YOU NEED YOUR UNDIES (or rather your bra or corset) for your first fitting. It is really surprising how the good old faithful has given a bit over the year to the spanking new Gok Wan or Fig leaf or La Senza number you've bought AFTER the fitting.
Anyway, just thought I'd mention this.
Happy planning. x
ETA. For those buying offshore, best measure up with your new underwear on for that perfect fit! (unless they state you don't need to but I always measure with. x
