    And if everyone like you who is undecided buys houses then the media hype over crashes and scaremongering will get weaker.

    Hype and scare tatics is the most likely thing to bring about a crash and whilst houses sell this is not likely to happen.
  • We have had a mortgage agreed in principle but have nothing in writing, I think I'll try and get a copy of this to prove our seriousness!

    Thanks everyone for your advice, we're going for a second viewing on Saturday as we only saw the place in the dark before so as long as we're still happy with the place I think we'll go for it!!!

    I know the warnings about house prices dropping but I'm really not too worried about that, its only if the interest rates rise dramatically that we could be in trouble but I think we would go for a fixed rate for 2-5 years anyway!
