totaly with you on this nervousmother

  • can anyone say what companys dont think BRs are scum bags?

i can see this turning into a huge campaign.ialso never claimed in 20yrs prior to de claring br so i suppose that dont count then?
  • .i think there will be thousands of people who filed for br on the basis of loss of income.illness, unemployment etc shame that when the banks were underwriting their loans they didnt make it compulsory for us all to be insured then they could have scewed us all over twice.
  • just to add i had been paying into a policy about 10 yrs back for a period of 5yrs didnt miss a premium once but changed my job in the 1st 18mths of that policy ,like a mug i mindlessly kept paying them and when i had to make a claim "guess what" sorry we cant pay you out under section blah, blah, blah, blah, oh well what goes around comes around .
  • People need to be emailing their MP, the Association of British Insurers, complain to every insurer who asks this question, and we will get movement. Anyone who thinks we cannot change this, or what's the point, or even worse thinking someone else will do it, needs to get on board.

We will get this overturned but we all must work like I am doing. I hope you all join this campaign, these groups can ignore me but when it is many more and we start causing them hassle it is far harder to ignore.

I think we cannot change this, I think what's the point but I certainly don't expect anyone to do it for me, that's a complete contridiction. I do not need to get on board. People fight and lobby for what they believe strongly in, I do not believe strongly enough for this therefore I cannot get on board.

For those of you who want to fight then brilliant! I hope you're fired up about it and can change something for the better.. if that's what you want. Me? I'm prepared to live a peaceful life and pay over the odds for this stigma I have baggaged myself with.

lobbying is such a personal thing, you can encourage people with the facts but you can't demand someone jumps on your bandwagon.

I would ask for all the premiums back sense going BR, you were paying for a service you did not get if they were not insuring you they should not have taken your money....

Maybe not high profile BR's but high profile someone..

I think what it is with me personally is I have no fight left in me now and I think because i'm still just nearly 5 months BR and still just trying to sort out myself that I can't join this, I havn't the headspace for it but who knows in a couple of years time when i'm undischarged i'll feel like I can get behind this 100% but untill then I have to make a stand for us 'tired' people, we shouldn't be thought of badly because we're not helping out, or that we can't show our support right now or being thought that we're ignorant to it all and just sit while others do it on our behalf. I don't think thats really fair just as much as I don't thik bombarding gocompare is the correct way forward.

I'll add.. I wrote to my MP when I first went BR, a load of tosh back , spouting rule after rule.. maybe that#s why I can no longer be bothered either.

I'm not nor ever have been bankrupt, I'm interested in why someone would think that I am a higher risk than a bankrupt?
