bilbo wrote:has anyone filled dells trial cartridges ?
Hello! New to this great site and forum. Came by yesterday looking for info on refilling Dell cartridges. This only place I found useable info.
As to bilbo, I actually refilled by trial cartridge, black, last night and works like a charm!! One fyi tho. When you use the hole drill from your refill kit, after you think you have drilled it open it trys to stop, there is another layer of plastic, and I had to about drill all the way to china to get thru. But, when I inserted the refill syringe I could finally feel the sponge. THEN SUCCESS!
Next going to try to refill the color trial cartridge.
Thanks to all for all the great info!
Hope this helps

Hi I wonder if someone can me with the refilling of these lexmark 19 and 90 cartridges ..my question is do I have to use the photo black ink or will the ordinary black ink do to refill the cartridge I have purchased the photo coloured ink but not the photo black, but I have plenty of the inkjet black?????......also I have an epson stylus C64,and the cartidges are so expensive Can they be filled????? I have yet to speak to anyone that has done this.
Would appreciate any feedback on either of these problems please.

I have posted in the new thread as Dell are again selling these cheap, for installation on older Windows platforms see here and a search on the internet will show that a cartridges or printer can be modified so the Lexmark cartridges can be used, the easiest way is to hack off the little shark fin shaped bit of plastic that stops the cartridge fitting, it will invalidate the warranty, but seeing the cost of the printer it's a fair sacrifice, plus it'll probably either break straight away ( trial cartidges ) or after warranty period anyway0

I've just refilled my black..the first few lines of text per page are missing then it seems to print ok. Anybody else ahd this problem? Could it be the formulation of the ink?0

Cheapest pre filled replacements for dell 720 i can find are from https://www.inkclub.com:
Colour £20.75 + black £18.54 Total = 39.29
Use quidco.com to get a further £6 off and inkclub throw in 20 sheets of glossy photo paper?
Total = £33.29
Can this be beaten without refilling yourself?0 -
hello
I have a dell photo printer 720 is this the same one that you guys are refering to ?
I have been into a couple of stores like asda and wilkinson and seen the jet tec kits but the dell model numbers are not always printed on the back of the refill packaging
If i went to Tesco how would I know which kit to buy or is there only one
(sorry if this sounds thick but im not up with the tec jargon !)
thanks in advance for your help0
