Shopping Help

Hi guys and gals,
My sister wasnt paid on new years eve and it is now due to clear on Monday. She has no shopping or anything else in the house and I cannot get a payment to her online either as I have no online/telephone banking to do a transfer.
She has a cheque guarantee card and a cheque book. Anyone know where she could get any groceries just until Monday? I have had a look and seems the big stores supermarkets no longer accept them
much appreciated

can she get cash out from her bank? Maybe a local store/corner shop will take a cheque.0

I would have though that if it really is "necessities" that she needs to buy she could go to cust serv at her normal store and say her card had been lost or whatever and ask if they can allow a cheque one time. Face to face most CS will try to be helpful?0

Unless its a business cheque for approved purchases (Varies between store) then no they won't budge and accept a cheque.veggieblob wrote: »I would have though that if it really is "necessities" that she needs to buy she could go to cust serv at her normal store and say her card had been lost or whatever and ask if they can allow a cheque one time.
