    hello
    where abouts do u live?
me and my h2b went to the jewellery quarter in birmingham last weekend and got our rings from there. an amazing choice and a good place to haggle the price down. what we were originally quoted 700 for in the first shop we got down to 300 by shop 4!!

Have you considered having a palladium ring, my h2b is having one. its a metal which has similar properties to platinum but is actually cheaper than gold at the minute. the price is set to soar though!

we were offered free engraving at most places we went to and i even had my engagement ring polished up for free by one lovely sales assistant!

if you dont live near the midlands you could also try hatton gardens in london.

  • thanks picklejack,

do you have the details of the one you went to?

we also need the engagement ring polished and a ring left to be by my grandad needs resizing.

got our engagement ring from the quarter and was very pleased

i agreed think palladium is a defo option

    cheers

Another vote for Palladium from me, we picked our rings up a little while back and I am still so impressed with the weight, feel and look of them!
:rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:
  • Hi

Is there anywhere similar in Yorkshire? I just want a plain 2mm platinum band but I'd feel happier trying on first.

    Thanks

The shop we're buying from is called Regency, we went in about 4. Mayfairs was the name of the shop where i had my ring polished for free. We just tried on some wedding rings and the sales assistant offered to give my engagement ring a clean.

Also went in Marlows and they were lovely aswell. Very good customer service!

  • Hi we need to get our wedding rings too - our date is 17th April. My Engagement ring is white gold 18ct and diamond. The white gold is marked quite a lot so I was thinking of Palladium - can that be worn with White Gold ? Not for colour but compatibility.
OH could do with a harder wearing one too. Any advice would be great. Thanks
We got married 17th April 2010 !! A wonderful day with my wonderful husband !! :T
