Hi everyone
Just joined the forum weve been reading the threads over the last few days and decided to join up. We had our lightbulb moment about 3 weeks ago and are still in a state of shock about how much debt weve racked up over the last 10 years but weve made a start and had our first car boot today and raised £220:j weve also started our £2 saving club:T and have £6 to date not done a SOA yet and currently working on our budget, I was shocked to discover we spent £196 in supermarkets over the last 10 days!!  theres only me the OH the dog and four cats
so weve decided to take up the groceries challange and see how it goes. Looking forward to reading up on all your great hints and tips and hopefully be on the way to being debt free in about another 10 years:eek:

Welcome to MSE.
When you've got an SOA post it here and see if we can help. The early bird gets the worm but the second mouse gets the cheese :cool:0 -
well done on the £220 - just make sure it gets sent straight to a debt!! I find any extra money I have doesn't get as far as mine....
Hopefully we can all help you make the cuts you need to get debt free before you turn old and grey. Once you have your debts all neatly in a row, try putting them intot he Snowball Calculator (not sure of the addy) it's a real boost psychologically. This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!
