    How you doing today TPA?

  • The mud pie was lethal. It was my sisters recipe and i never wrote it down but it was melt some butter ~(6oz) , add some caster sugar (4oz i think?), and a tablespoon of cocoa. You could add dried fruit, and 8oz (a packet) of biscuits crushed up. You then put it in a cake tin lined with tin foil. We then put it in the fridge for 2 hours. When that time was up we melted a bar of chocolate on top, and added sprinkles.

    It was seriously nyom. Though it must have been so bad for us. I made my sister take most of it home with her and then made my DH take the rest of it to work. I need saving from myself at the best of times. :eek: No will power.

    TPA - where are you love? You need to keep posting. You are so like me. Disappearing means you are pondering and not in a good way. Take care, and let us know how you are.
  • Thank you all so much {{}}

    I am feeling a bit better tonight, been out to bingo with my VBF! If someone hadn't stolen the number 6 I would have won £250;)

    There is something very odd going on with my knee, the back of it is RED, RED, RED.......feels hot and 'pingy'. Will wait to see what the results of the hip x-ray are next week, but really think this needs looking into also, its hard getting old:p

    Weighed today, have gained a lb, wonder how that happened:o Thats the trouble when I feel low, I hit the self distruct button and theres no stopping me:( Oh well, tomorrow night we are out for my FIL birthday (our treat:)) but after that I need to get my head into gear.

  • Are you walking with one twisted to compensate for the pain in the hip after they prodded you? Or were you wearing new shoes or anything making you walk funny?

    SAying that, it wouldn't have made it red. Curious.

    No new shoes, don't tempt me!:)

    The knee has been bad for a while but the doctor seemed more concerned with the hip so the x-ray was just on that. The knee is SOooo much worse now, it could all be conected, one compensates for the other and everything goes scew wiff! I did work really hard in the gym today so that probably didn't help, I was under punishment for putting on a lb:o

    Anyway I am catching up with big brother, didn't watch this series but now all the oldies are back in I am going to watch the next two weeks, I'm sad I know:D

  • A positive day today, the sun is shining which always helps:)

    Have completed two Ms for today one was in a store I needed to go to anyway, so that was good.

    Got lots of washing done and dried (oh bum that means it will need ironing now:()

    Went to Tesco and used my £6 off a £40 spend voucher on Gin, Vodka and Peach Snaps,. all of which I have been told I should be drinking rather than wine, although obviously not all at once:eek:

    Recycled a load of diet coke cans at Teco for 54p in vouchers:rotfl:Don't knock it, it all adds up!:p Thats £2.16 in deals!!

    We are going for a meal tonight to celebrate my FIL birthday, its at my favourite pub where we went for my b'day:j.

    Am working tomorrow afternoon and my mother is organising a BBQ for the family:eek:on Monday, other than that I am hoping for a peaceful weekend.
