Happy New Year everybody! Happy New Diary to Dinah too!

I know i've only posted a couple of times, but i still lurk regularly :o

My debt total rose up a little bit, due to charges etc, but i've still managed to pay off a fair bit. I leave my job on 14th Jan and i am desperately looking for something!! Anything, to keep some pocket money rolling in at least. Anyway, they owe my just over a week worth of lieu time, so i have some time off beforehand to continue the job search.
Also they have to pay all annual leave i'm owed as well, so i should get that at the end of Feb.

Sorry to waffle on, but seeing it on the screen keeps me focused lol :T
Good luck with finding a new job, hope you can get something soon as it's awful to be without definite money coming in (I work on a freelance basis so I'm too aware of that feeling when work isn't forthcoming).

Sorry for the mega early post! Got up for work but I still couldn't breathe properly so I'm having the day off to go to the Doctors, just can't get back to sleep!

Lulu - Hope you manage to find another job soon. I guess there's plenty out there, just a matter of taking what you can!

I suppose I best at least try and do something productive, and at least I get another day off work!

Oooh, poor Cinny, don't worry about being productive today, your job is to get better which means having lots of tea and ginger biscuits (they're medicinal you know!)! OH's still full of Man Flu, he was snuffling and snoring all night, and doing those little, useless, coughs that you do when you don't want to wake anyone up which actually woke me up!

I feel totally stranded at work, one woman hasn't been in since before Christmas as her Dad's ill and he's down South somewhere so she's gone down there to be with him, the other woman is at her third family funeral in as many weeks and the new girl who's starting today has crashed her car at the top of the road so she's going to be in later this morning... I think! She's OK, she span and went into a hedge I think but she's young and hasn't been driving long so she's probably going to be a wreck, I know I would be!

By the way, how freakin' cold is it today?! It's -8 here, I thought my ears were going to drop off when I left the flat, my poor car didn't like it either, it took about 6 attempts to get it to start. I may need to get a horse blanket to keep it warm at night!

    Morning all!

Cinny - hope you feel better soon. I think I am finally starting to get better, 2 weeks after it all started. Still snuffling but I can breathe a bit better now :)

Birdie - sorry you are feeling a bit isolated. It is horrible going back after the Christmas break isn't it?

    Morning All,

Freezing outside (again), trying to avoid going out but need shopping, post office, barbers and take a duvet to the dry cleaners.

Just done another review on dooyoo so will see if how popular that is in getting points.

Hope everybody made it to work ok and they are not too cold.

I am at work this afternoon so will have the lovely drive home in the freezing fog that is outside.
  • Morning everyone, back to work, yuk yuk. Hope you find something soon Lulu, it's horrible not knowing where your next money will come from. Hope you feel better soon Cinny, I was a bit poorly on Friday but of course it has cleared up in time for today!

Birdie - it's freezing!! My friend and I both had our wellies on for the snow bit they're not very warm and our feet were numb by the time we got to work. My hands still are, I've got them around my cup of tea to keep warm :(

Oh no Dinah, did you go to the doctor? I seem to recall you mentioning tubigrip but I can't remember what happened/was said! There's nothing worse than having a pain that won't go away, especially when it's your knees as it pretty much leaves you immobile!

Last night OH and I went out on a food hunt in the cold (ended up with Thai, yummy!) and he was running home and sidestepping to dodge the patches of ice on the pavement and I was so proud of him, it's nearly a year ago that he knackered his knee and I still can't believe it when I see him walking and running now; it doesn't seem that long ago since I was putting his socks on for him and caryying his crutches up and down stairs since he had to get about on his bottom!

Crikey about your knee Dinah, didn't the Doctor give you something for the pain when you went in last week? Or would one of those wheaty bags you heat up in the microwave curb the pain a little?

It isn't too cold here, about -3 and thankfully no ice. Hope everyone else is okay on the roads!

Spent what sempt like a life time in the Doctors but it turns out my 'chesty cough' is actually a chest infection :( Blah!

Did anyone watch Big Brother last night btw? I think this is the first year I know who everyone is.

Doctor has given me 3 types of painkiller and a muscle relazant, they keep it okay when i'm laid up, but walking about on it and having it under the desk seems a step too far.

Get yourself to bed with honey tea girl!
