  • Hi - its about £300 for just the ceremony at my church - i think each church is different and some can be dramatically different!!! It is usually extra for things like bell ringing, organist etc...ie at my church, £100 for organist, £100 for bell ringers, £100 for choir. So it can add up lol!
Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?

Have a look on the Church of England website, I think the basic service is about £300.

Mine is £720 but with full choir, flowers, orders of service, bell ringing etc etc; oh and we have to pay extra to allow a photographer and videographer in - another £100!!!!!
  • Mine is about £350. There's no bells, organist or choir so just the church and the vicar really, lol.
  • Per Church of England website:

"This figure is based on a couple living at the same address and marrying outside their own parish and includes:
    • the fee set by law payable to the church: £254
    • your marriage certificate: £3.50
    • having your banns read at the home church: £22
    • having your banns read at the church where you will marry: £22
    • your banns certificate: £12
    Total: £313.50

BUT ... Our Church is charging a basic cost of £432 plus optionally
    £65 Choir
    £100 Bells
    £80 Flowers
    £75 Video
    £35 Order of Service (50)

    Hope this helps
