yes she did scan the brushes the till would not accepted voucher she said i could only bye make up.

I've had this problem in the past. Some bigger shops sell two different types of Ruby and Millie brushes.

Type 1: is just wrapped in cellophane - the voucher can be used for these brushes.

Type 2: are exactly the same but come in fancy packaging, like a big card thing with the brush in the middle - the voucher doesn't work with these.

The barcode is different for these two different types. They are the same quality, brand etc but just different packaging.

I honestly don't think they have changed this - I do think its confusion over what earns points/what points can be spent on. You do get a voucher for spending £5 when you buy a phone top up of £5 or more in Boots.

    I didn't, and I'd spent £10

    In reply to all above;

Boots staff only issue vouchers when prompted to by the till. If they handed them over when it has not prompted them to, they would be in serious trouble.
    (from a friend)

As far as I am aware all items marked with an (X) including Top-Up's, Baby Milk, Stamps and Giftcards are not included in the offer.

luxor4t, do you still have your Boots receipt for your top-up? It will say on there if you have earned a No7 voucher.

I agree CrazyClum, the SA's give vouchers from the till when prompted by the till - but my phone top-up receipts always say I've earned a voucher, and I always get one .

oh man thats not fair, when they did the anti ageing voucher I got another voucher for spending my £5 voucher. Bummer :(

If you did get a voucher for every voucher you used, then Boots would lose so much money, because you'd have only spent £5 in all, and got voucher after voucher after voucher and used them until the offer expired.

I've just dug my receipt out of the recycling bin: no mention of any No7 voucher, but it does state: "mobile phone topups sold as agent". I think MrB hates me

Sa's have to scan a paper thing through the till when the till prompts for the No7 voucher so it will register on the reciept, it wouldn't of shown on the reciept if this wasn't scanned & you wouldn't have recieved a no7 voucher. Mobile top ups defiently give the no7 voucher with the transaction so not sure what happened in your transaction.
  • ok I work for boots so will try to clear up some of your problems

You will recieve a £5 voucher when you spend £5 or more instore, but some items that are baby milk etc are marked X which means you will not recieve a voucher

You cannot use your "250" extra points that you recieved in xmas gifts etc in conjunction with the 3for2 offer and then also recieve your £5voucher off

You cannot part pay a product with points/money and your £5 voucher

Any clearance items will not be included in the £5 voucher off

I think this covers most of the questions asked above but if not, just ask me (also voucher running until 31 january 2010) so in time for payday and the new products being launched on 27 january - of course depending on availability to each store :)
  • just to satisfy those who are asking about mobile phone top ups - you will recieve a voucher with these.

You will also recieve another voucher when using your current voucher if you have spent over the £5 threshold on that product. ie.p&p day cream £19.50 - using voucher = £14.50 so the till will automate another voucher :))

and staff do not get it any differently.

Yep, thats exactly what happened with that particular voucher, in that particular month it ran - for some reason, the till didn't see that you hadn't spent another £5 on a particular range of skincare (it was Olay washes etc wasn't it ladies?) after deducting the £5 off voucher you'd paid with, so it meant we all stocked up on loads of face washes etc and only paid 86ish p per time, as the item was £5.86 full price, and the till gave you another £5 off voucher each time you did it :D.
