Personally I wouldn't waste your money and time - I think they are bloody dangerous things without professional / trained assistance and there are other better ways to excersise and enjoy your time!0

I don't think it's a laugh when trampeline accidents are second only to scalds in the US, and much higher than skate boarding injuries!Introduction
Most research on outdoor trampoline injuries is from the USA where, due to the high injury rate the American Academy of Paediatrics, their use is not recommended by them. Most serious injuries are to the head and neck and often occur when children try to somersault and land on their head or neck instead of their feet.
It is appreciated that whilst not common in the UK there is an increasing trend to provide these, particularly at commercial play centres. Both RoSPA and British Gymnastics advise against their use unless a properly qualified British Gymnastics Coach is present. The risks of successful litigation in the event of an accident are high
You only have to try one summersault and that's enough to snap your neck!0 -
So is getting in your car everyday! I think people should be aware of the dangers involved with trampolining but also think that everyone should make up their own mind.0

i got one from aldis today and im well chuffed it comes with a enclosure all for £120 but if you werent one of the first in the queue today then forget it .. our aldis had 40 and they went in 5 mins i was there 30 mins before opening time to make sure i got one..Those we love don't go away,They walk beside us every day,Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear
Our thoughts are ever with you,Though you have passed away. And those who loved you dearly,
Are thinking of you today.0 -
I was very surprised - just been to our Aldi and there were quite a few left. Not too impressed as I bought a 12' one last week without an enclosure for the same money.0

Speaking as a qualified trampolining coach I must say I'm very concerned about the surge in popularity of garden trampolines. I strongly disagree, however, with the American Academy of Paediatrics who recommend the banning of all trampolining including the competitive sport. While I am aware that trampolinig carries an inherent risk, even when practiced in a controlled environment and under qualified supervision, the risk is much reduced in these circumstances. I would not advise anyone to purchase a garden trampoline and would encourage them instead to consider joining a club or class where they can trampoline safely and learn new moves.
I have to point out also, that most people are not really aware of the risks involved in trampolining because without having had proper instruction they cannot know what the dangers are or how to avoid them. For similar reasons it is not permitted for a person to get behind the wheel of a car without having proper instruction. I have often reiterated in such threads the advice given by British Gymnastics regarding garden trampolines, to site them clear from obstructions over or around the trampoline, not to allow more than one bouncer at a time, to wear no jewellry, to have an enclosure or spotters to prevent falling from the trampoline and never to attemp somersaults. In the light of Fesdufun's comments regarding awareness of the risks I now feel I must stress that this advice is the by no means comprehensive but only a summary of how to avoid some of the more serious and easily remedied dangerous practices. Injuries can still occurr due to landing awkwardly on the bed and this risk can only be reduced through the use of the proper progressions and support to teach good technique which would be provided by a qualified coach.
I regret to repeat myself but this is an issue that causes me some concern, not only because I do not wish to see children injured, but also because I forsee a possible negative impact on my sport. I will, therefore, direct you once again to the British Gymnastics garden trampolines statement which is accesible from their website www.british-gymnastics.org in the downloads section under trampoline gymnastics technical committee.0
