    Hugs to you Scottish, you have been v quiet recently. Great news on the bank charges!!! And CC payment!!!!

    Have been a pile of pants recently so am going to be v focused:

    1. Sit down with DS and plan menu for week. He's taking a year out of uni but has a job - am going to charge him board so he starts to learn what life is about, but know that in return he will want input into what he eats!!!hey hey!!!! is at dads for 2 days and wants stuff already in freezer :j

    2. 4 no spend days, not counting car parks etc which claim back from work. Won't include any 'disciplined spending' related to 1. in this! Started off today with 1!

    3. Research buying smoothie maker (linked to DS & 1 - he drinks a lot of them which I want to encourage but think cheaper to make own? May convince myself to go on smoothie detox!) Not happy with results, will research Argos. Chepest so far is a Kenwood, on Kenwood's own site at 24.99 free p & p but can't find it through any cash back sites.
    4. 100 minutes on exercise bike!!!!!!:eek: :eek: :eek: Starting with 10 mins for England goal this afternoon!!! Only had to do 10 thank goodness! 10 more in the morning......
    5. Sort out probs with electric, gas & water billing / lack of billing :eek: :eek: Time to answer phone - Powergen 1 second, freaked me out! B Gas - don't know as gave up after 20 mins Anglian Water - 19 hours (phoned at 2pm but not open till Monday!)

    OK, suitably inspired to off to start on 3 & 5 (not 4 though, too scary!!!!!!)

    Have updated with some progress......
    A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

    Last week's goals were:

    Now that I've stopped smoking I can have 3 no spend days (at least!) - only achieved one :(
    Plan meals for the week - done;
    Make the meals that I've planned - done;
    Weed the garden - carried over to this week again;
    Jet spray the pathways - done

    This week's goals:

    As usual I will plan the meals for the week, and prepare them as planned;
    Weed the garden
    I will have 2 no spend days this week
    Send my poisonous chocolate back to Cadbury's
    It's pay day on Friday, so need to work out the budget for the month and update my signature

    Not much to head for, but I'm plodding along nicely and paying those debts off.
    Best of luck to everyone.

    Last week...

    1) - I have £50 and out of this I need to buy a work skirt, a couple of smart tops, a pair of black shoes and get my hair trimmed as I'm starting a new job at the beginning of July... I also have a £10 New Look voucher I can use towards the cost, but I'm going to try the cheaper shops first (Matalan, Peacocks and George.) I am due one more JSA payment, but this will have to go towards my bus fare for getting to and from work. The clothes shopping hasn't gone to plan... looked round the high street and local shopping centre and couldn't find much suitable at all! My Mum and grandparents gave me some money towards some clothes, but I've managed to spend £40 on two tops which was way more than I wanted to spend! Can't find any shoes I like (or the ones I like don't fit me!) and haven't found a skirt I like yet. Will have another go this week. Also still need to get hair cut.

    2) - Do at least two exercise sessions of thirty minutes or more. Yes

    3) - Weigh myself and see if I've lost 2.5lbs to take me to my target of losing my first stone. If not, do NOT reach for chocolate to console myself! Have put on 2lbs, which is a bit of a downer!

    4) - Have a pile of books I can't list on Amazon as not in their book catalogue, need to sort through them and get rid of some to the charity shop and see if I can put the rest on Green Metropolis. Have sorted out books to go to charity, but haven't yet looked into listing on Green Metropolis.

    This weeks goals

    1) - Get hair trimmed, don't want to start new job with hair looking straggly!
    2) - Have another look for a new pair of work shoes and skirt. If I still can't find anything, will just have to 'make do' with what I have for now (and try not to have a stressy fit that I don't have anything suitable to wear for work!)
    3) - Two exercise sessions of at least thirty minutes each.
    4) - Declare car as off the road when tax expires this week as it's playing up and needs some work doing to it. Hassle OH to fix it!
    5) - Research driving instructors. I'm going to start having professional lessons next month as need help with reversing manouevres, as well as driving with OH/family to get experience, hopefully I will be able to go for test sometime this year!

    That's enough to be going on with I think!

    At the moment my goal for this week & the next 3 is to survive work.

    Its awful here at the moment, had a terrible day Friday & today is even worse (and its not even lunchtime!!).

    I want to leave now if I'm honest, but wonder if I can sacrifice 3 weeks salary if I dont work my notice. I feel as though I am having a breakdown!

    So if I get through work I'll be a happy bunny!!

    I love reading everyone else's goals - you are all so motivated!!

    Wishing everyone the best of luck.

    xx

    Ms London - do you have any holidays due to you? Work out what you'd be due up to 4 weeks time, then take off any you've had & voila! instant notice period! (fingers crossed!) ;)

    I know the feeling - my job is a cash cow at the mo, but can't wait to move to Blackpool & work somewhere that I've got stuff to do & where people actually talk to you! :rolleyes:

    Thanks Floss. I have 1 1/2 days to take as holiday, and the remaining 6 hols I have mean I can leave work on the 21st July but get paid up until the end of the month! Since the other sec is off sick (which adds to my stress) I couldnt take time off anyway.. I've come this far, so I'd might as well see it through, but I just feel terrible & not very well with it all either!! I know its not long to go, but I want to scream. :mad: :mad:

    When do you move to Blackpool? Soon?

    Working is overrated ;) !!

    September, just after the illuminations start, so the place will be full of tourists every weekend! Am hoping to find something before then & do a weekly commute, staying at OH's during the week then home to finish packing at weekend!
