Just had my first negative feedback - have been called a 'thieving horrible creature'
Not sure what to do - the item description was accurate and cannot understand what the problem is.
Do I contact the buyer and ask or do I just leave a reply to gthe feedback ??

I would do both, contact the buyer and also leave a reply to the feedback, I would also wait to see what they have to say and then contact ebay to see if it can be stuck off.

nasty little so and so's some people are:mad:

sorry to hear that dominosue.... you know what people are horrid. i had a buyer whose item didnt turn up and she mailed me to say that she didnt trust me and that i was lying etc etc and she had a bad feeling [all this over a 99p item] several days later the item turned up at my house after i had refunded her. seems the post lable had been stuck on the wrong side and it had been sent to me. i just re-posted it to her and never heard from her again. !!!!!! people are horrid.

that is so rude, i cant believe some people! this is what i dont like about ebay, it seems its all about the buyer and no protection for the seller these days - because sellers cant leave neg feedback for buyers now, no one is going to know that this buyer is horrible and will likely ruin their feedback! I buy and sell on ebay and have bought some duff things, that i personally would never consider selling. one was a dvd that was all scratched and cracked. before leaving feedback i contacted the seller, who requested i send the item back and i would be refunded. i did, and got a full refund so i gave her positive feedback for the way it was handled.if it helps for future i always email the buyer when i've posted their item to say its on their way and "do not hesitate to contact me if there are any problems, before leaving feedback" I've not had anyone complain - yet!
i have a feeling you've just been unlucky enough to get a difficult person, you could email them to find out whats wrong but if they didnt contact you before leaving the feedback i doubt they will reply. best bet is to leave a reply to the feedback saying that you have no idea why this buyer was unhappy as you have heard nothing from them.

I did download turbo lister but it seems very confusing and as I need to use everything I get immediately, I don't read instructions!!!
Anyway, enough babble, I will report back when I have listed!!!!

If you don't want to read the instructions just watch the eBay tutorial on the download page for Turbo Lister. Its much quicker and more helpful than reading a load of instructions. I always get my volunteers at work to do that before I get them listing on ebay and it helps them a lot.

Just think of it as one big form, all the ebay listing pages in one place rather than 5 pages. Its not as scary as it first seems honest

I've half prepared 125 listings. Just need to add descriptions and postage now :j

dominosue - can you name this buyer so we can all block them. If you don't want to name and shame here please PM me so I can block them. I don't want some nasty person like that ruining my feedback

also meant to add it wouldnt surprise me if there are buyers out there who deliberately try to ruin sellers feedback - check feedback shes left for others, has she left a lot of neg feedback in past?

  • Domino sue, if you go to this buyers feedback page and click on the 'Feedback left for others' it will show you what feedback they have left for other people, might be interesting to see if they leave lots of negative feedback and have been that nasty to other people.

Hi domino sue, I know how it feels having been there!

You probably want to take the buyer's name off your listing though as we don't know who is watching ;)

I did an eBay feedback session today; let's just say that I am going to sell as much as I can before they decide to bring it in

    Anyway back to the ironing...

I've not got my instructions for using HTML for free photos & backgrounds done yet but I thought some of you might be able to learn how from these websites which helped me:

    http://www.eobcards.com/tutorial3.htm
    http://www.eobcards.com/tables101.htm
    http://www.zoicks.com/backgrounds.htm
    http://www.zoicks.com/addingimages.htm

I use hotmail space as my image host and link in photos and pretty colour backgrounds from there. It looks more professional and saves lots of money on extra photo fees

I takes a while to get your head around it though so don't start unless you have some time to spare :)
