New Year's Eve Family Party Games

Wanted to play a board game with family members for our annual party but found the prices somewhat alarming (after hunting today in the January sales) for a games we'll no doubt play a couple of times then leave to gather dust. I then thought about hunting the net for Mr & Mrs type questions and discovered by accident a site called instant-quizzes which offer instant downloads of quiz questions, picture games, etc. ideal for family gatherings. I've just downloaded one game which should fill a good hour for the cost of £3, thereby saving me a packet!

  • A good 'free' game is the cereal box game.

Get an old (or nearly empty) cereal packet and place it in the middle of the floor. Take it in turns to bend down (no hands on floor) and pick it up with your teeth (easier the more drunk you get). Each time a 'round' is done, get the scissors and chop a few cm's off. The last person able to bend that far is undoubtedly the winner! You may need to pre-warn casualty in advance!
